I worry over every little thing. I’m about to have a nervous breakdown

Recognize yourself? It’s a sign that something needs to change.

The first thing — I start to give thanks. It’s an important moment to be thankful for everything I have.

Worrying means that you are:

1) dissatisfied with the current state of affairs or some past events;
2) don’t believe that future events will be positive for you.

We worry either about what we’ve done or what will happen. And this is a need for acceptance of what has already happened and what could happen.

How to “exhale”?

Accept that any event has come into your life as a lesson. You need to be thankful for it and write out everything you learned from it — it will significantly reduce your worries and reduce the degree by 75%.

Try to prescribe how you will act the next time you are in a similar situation. You did like this, how would you choose to act now?

If the experience is about something in the future — try to spell out the worst options:

• what would happen to you if it happened;
• how you would feel;
• how you will live in that situation.

It would help if you prepared yourself for different scenarios. Our brain loves understanding — when everything becomes clear to it. Yes, something terrible may happen, but everything will be clear.

Immerse yourself in this state on all levels:

• what you’ll be like if it happens;
• what your emotions will be;
• what’s going on around you;
• what thoughts come up;
• what you are doing in this new state.

This approach also takes the edge off the experience. If it doesn’t, go through the immersion again to achieve a positive result.

The brain will have nothing to cling to, and you will calm down.

If you realize that coping alone is complex and the constant worrying is enveloping you more and more — don’t hesitate to sign up for counseling.
